Robert “Bob” Weeks, 75, of Oakvale died Thursday, September 14, 2017 at his residence. Born April 5, 1942 in Oakvale he was the son of the late Lawrence Weeks and Rachel Alley Weeks. Bob was formerly employed at Celtite Corporation as a plastics foreman. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Ruby Chaney Weeks; one sister, Vivian Ann Weeks; two brothers, Charles Arthur Weeks and Danny Ray (Ike) Weeks; two step daughters, Tina and JoAnn; and his beloved dog, Moscar. Survivors include one son, Michael Brian Weeks of Oakvale; five stepchildren, Butch Akers, Darlene Winger, Sheila Burris, Fernie Akers and Lisa Cosner; special granddaughter, Alexis Spriggs; a host of other grandchildren and great grandchildren;   two sisters, Mary “Sis” Weeks Nelson and special friend Randolph Honaker of Oakvale and Carolyn “Sue” Weeks Lucas of Princeton; three brothers, Lawrence Allen “Bo” Weeks and wife Regina of Oakvale, Jerry Weeks of Oklahoma, and James Weeks and wife Gail of Texas. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 PM, Monday, September 18, 2017 at the G.E. Davis Chapel of Fredeking Funeral Service in Oakvale with Pastor Morris Clyburn officiating. Burial will follow at the Oakvale Cemetery. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Friends may call at the funeral home from 12:00 Noon until the service hour on Monday.
