Carl David Keen, 66, of Princeton died Monday, April 23, 2018 at his residence. Born February 26, 1952 in Grundy, VA he was the son of the late Carl Compton and Anna Bell Keen. Carl was a retired building contractor and was of the Baptist faith. He loved spending time with and playing with his grandchildren. He lived most of his life in this area. Survivors include his fiancé, Kristian Jones of Princeton; two daughters, Kara Keen of Bluefield and Robin Jones of Richlands, VA; six grandchildren; one great grandchild; siblings, Kenneth Ray Keen and wife Nancy of Shawsville, VA, Gene Keen and wife Tammy of Cheesy Creek, Princeton, Perry Wakley Keen of Roanoke, VA, Gay Prater of Hurley, VA, Lakia Roberts and husband Sammy of Thaxton, VA and Danny Keen and wife Marie of Troutville, VA; two step grandsons, Trey and Cole Montgomery; and special friend, Sally Keen. Funeral services will be conducted at 12:00 Noon, Saturday, April 28, 2018 at the G.E. Davis Chapel of Fredeking Funeral Service in Oakvale with his cousin, Pastor Ralph Keen officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home from 11:00 AM until the service hour on Saturday. In keeping with Carl’s wishes his body will be cremated following the service. Inurnment at the Phoenix Cemetery in Shawsville, VA will be held at a later date.
