Frances "Mick" Meadows

Frances M. “Mick” Meadows, 92, of Willowton Road, Willowton, died Sunday, August 4, 2019 at Main Street Care in Hinton. Born March 8, 1927, in Lurich, VA, she was the daughter of the late James Cecil and Hattie Jane Jones Dickenson. Frances was a lifelong resident of Willowton. She was a lifetime member of the Willowton Christian Church and faithfully attended while her health permitted. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Earnest B. Meadows; Two daughters, Mary Ann Perdue and Frances Reed; One granddaughter whom she raised, Valarie Hedrick and several brothers and sisters. Frances was the last surviving member of her immediate family.  Surviving are her grandchildren, Jennifer Grimmett, Wyatt and Matthew Reed, Great-grandchildren, Wesley and Sidney Hedrick and Bailiegh Grimmett;  A special nephew, Benny Dickenson and wife Pam; Son-in-law Dwight Reed.  Funeral services to celebrate the life of Frances M. “Mick” Meadows, will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, August 9, 2019, from the G.E. Davis Chapel of Fredeking Funeral Service with Pastor Mike Robinson officiating.  Burial will follow in the Willowton Cemetery.  Friends may visit with the family from 10:00 A.M. until the service hour at the funeral home.
