Jack Hoston

Jack Hoston, 83, of Kellys Tank, went home to be with the Lord Friday evening, October 26, 2018 at Heritage Hall Nursing Facility in Rich Creek, VA after a long illness. Born November 10, 1934 in Willowton, WV he was the son of the late Frances and Eugene Hoston. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his step-daughter, Leah Roscoe; four brothers, Cassell, Rezentry, William, and Marvin; five sisters, Leona, Clara, Sadie, Marcel, and Bernice. Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 18 years, Patsy Hoston; one brother, Robert Hoston of Arlington, VA; three sons, Anthony Hoston and wife Michelle, Eugene Hoston and wife Yvonne, and Floyd Hoston and wife Teresa; two daughters, Norma Johnson and husband Will, and Mary Ann Hoston; one step-son, Howard Hopkins of Tampa, FL; 11 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, great nieces, nephews, great nephews, cousins and friends. He was a member of Gospel Light of Faith Church in Kellysville where he and his wife were devotional leaders; he was also a trustee of the church before his illness. He retired from Norfolk Southern Railroad after 30 years of employment. A funeral service to celebrate his life will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday, November 3, 2018 at Saunders Grove Baptist Church, Kellys Tank with Pastor Ginger Neely of Gospel Light of the Faith Church officiating. Burial will follow at Kellys Tank Community Cemetery, Kellys Tank Road. Serving as pallbearers are his grandsons. Friends may call at the church from 11:00 AM until the service hour on Saturday.
