Amy Nichole Shannon

Amy Nichole Shannon, 40 of Elgood died Monday, November 21, 2022 from injuries received in an automobile accident. Born November 26, 1981, in Princeton, she was the daughter of Lisa Ann Hill Pennington and Gary Charles Shannon. She was employed by the Princeton Sanitary Board and was an avid WVU fan. Amy was a loving daughter, mother, sister, and friend. She was a country girl at heart, she loved being around people and they enjoyed her friendship. She attended the Mountain View Community Church in Elgood. She was preceded in death by her grandfather, David Shannon, Grandparents, Calvin Willis Hill and Norma Joyce Martin Hill and Her Uncle, Mike Hill. Left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Audia Cook. Mother, Lisa Ann Pennington and her husband Rick of Elgood; Father, Gary Charles Shannon and his wife Belinda of Bluewell. Grandmother, Dottie Shannon and grandparents, Mike and Connie Pennington. Brother, Trevor Shannon of Colorado and Sister, Kelli Shannon of Bluefield, Virginia. Special Cousin, Michelle Lawson. Several Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, and friends. Funeral services to celebrate the life of Amy Shannon will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, November 27, 2022 from the Fredeking Funeral Service in Oakvale with Pastor Randall Shrewsbury officiating. Burial will follow in the New Zion Cemetery near Elgood. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Friends may visit with the family Sunday, November 27, 2022 from 1:00 PM until the service hour at the funeral home.
