Arnold “Ray” Stafford, 76, of Keaton Lane, Princeton died Monday, March 4, 2019 at The Maples Nursing Home, Bluefield. Born July 30, 1942 in Ronceverte, he was the son of the late William W. Stafford and Maude Arvella Bailey Stafford Ray proudly served in the United Sates Air Force. He worked at Douglas Sporting Goods for 37 Years and attended Gospel Light of Faith Church in Kellysville while his health permitted. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by one brother William Norman Stafford, two sisters Edna “Maggie” Holcomb and Priscilla Gray Larue, one nephew Eddie Larue. Surviving is a special niece who was his constant companion and caregiver Mitzi “Dawn” Farmer of Princeton two nephews Bruce “Carl” Holcomb of Mogadore, Ohio and Jeffrey Holcomb of Princeton. Special friend, Peggy Lambert; Funeral services to celebrate the life of Ray Stafford will be held Thursday March 7, 2019 at 1:00 PM from G.E. Davis Chapel of Fredeking Funeral Service, Oakvale, WV with Pastor Ginger Neely officiating. Burial will follow in Oakvale Cemetery. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Friends may visit with the family from Noon until the service hour at the funeral home.
