Asa Clayton Jewell Sr.

Asa Clayton Jewell Sr., 80, of Fuquay Varina, NC formerly of Ingleside WV and Baltimore Maryland died on Monday October 31, 2022. He was born January 6, 1942, in Ingleside to the late Cyrus Cover Jewell and Arietta Mae Flowers Jewell. Asa moved to Baltimore in 1954. He retired with over forty years of dedicated service as a shift supervisor with Oles Envelope Corporation. Asa then moved to Fuquay Varina, NC in 2008 He was a dedicated father and husband. Asa was an avid Baltimore sports fan.  In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife Frances Pauline Jewell. His siblings D.C. Jewell, Shirley Busteed, and Jerry Jewell. Those left to cherish his memory include his children, Dorothy Collison, Asa C. Jewell Jr and spouse Tomi, Mark D. Jewell and spouse Majorie. Grandchildren; Asa C. Jewell III, Mallory Hussey, Bradley Jewell, Tyler Jewell, Melissa Theologus. Great-Grandchildren; Sylvie Hussey, Joshua Theologus, Phillip Theologus, Jameson Theologus. Sisters; Deanna Raish, Linda Condon, and Debbie Davis. Services to celebrate the life of Asa Jewell will be held Friday November 4, 2022 from the Chapel of Fredeking Funeral Service at 1 PM. Burial will follow in the Oakvale Cemetery.
