Carol Smith

Carol Christmas Smith, 82, of Princeton, died Friday, May 12, 2023, at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital. Born August 30, 1940, in Jacksonville, Florida to the late Walter Christmas and Gloria Watson. Carol Smith was a devoted wife, loving mother, and homemaker. She was member of Green Springs Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by stepfather Gene Watson, brother Tim Watson, Sister-in-Law Kathy Watson. She is survived by her husband Russell Smith, Children Bobby Bryan and wife Marie, Suzanne Dennison, Darlene Aspinwall, David Bryan and wife Alexsandra, Stepchildren Jeffrey Smith, April Szweda and husband Bob, Cindy Szweda and husband Larry and Lynn O’Neal and husband Gary. Funeral Services to celebrate the life of Carol Smith will be held Tuesday May 16, 2023, at 6 PM in the chapel of Fredeking Funeral Service with Pastors Max Benson and Dr. Gary O’Neal Ph.D. officiating. Friends may visit with the family from 4 P.M. until the service hour. Graveside Services will be held Wednesday May 17, 2023, at 1 P.M. at Elgood Cemetery those attending are asked to meet at the cemetery by the service hour. Online condolences may be shared with the family via www.fredekingfs.com.
