Chap Eugene Southern

On Sunday, June 19, 2022, Chap Eugene Southern passed away. Chap was born on February 9, 1969, in Princeton, WV, to Arnold E. and Brenda L. Southern. Chap loved his family and loved being outdoors.  He loved to hunt and would look forward to hunting season each year.  He loved being in the mountains.  Chap loved lending a helping hand to whoever needed help. Chap was a high school graduate of Oakvale High School, class of 1987.  He put many years in at Norfolk and Southern. He is survived by his father, Arnold and his mother Brenda; His sons, Dakota (Cody) and Chris; His sis, Teresa (Scott) Woodrum; His grandchildren, Bentley and Aubree; His niece, Amanda; His nephews, Patrick and Preston (Grayce); The love of his life, Rhonda Tebbe and her girls, Maygan and Autumn. A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, June 25, 2022, at 1:00 P.M., from the Chapel of Fredeking Funeral Services with Pastors Tony Miller and Gary Barton officiating. Burial will follow in New Zion Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family from 12:00 Noon until the service hour at the funeral home. Serving as pallbearers will be Patrick and Preston Woodrum, Garland Dargo, Dougie Miller, Doug Thomas and Mark Walkup. Online condolences may be shared with the family via www.fredekingfs.com.
