Connie Sue Carroll, 70, passed away on January 31, 2026. She was born on November 8, 1955, to the late Roy and Lizzie Clemons.
Connie married the love of her life, Randy Carroll, at the age of 18, beginning a lifelong partnership rooted in devotion to family and faith. She began her adult life as a stay-at-home mother, a role she cherished, before later dedicating herself to a long and meaningful career as a cook with Mercer County Schools. For 30 years, Connie served students and staff with care and consistency, retiring after three decades of faithful service.
Connie had a true gift for feeding and caring for others. Whether it was a full family meal or a simple gesture of kindness, she made people feel welcome and loved. She also enjoyed collecting dishes, finding joy in the small details that made a house feel like home. A woman of strong faith, Connie was an active and devoted member of the Oakvale Church of the Brethren.
She was the youngest child in her family and the only daughter. In addition to her parents, Connie was preceded in death by her six older brothers.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Randy Carroll; her son, Ernie Carroll and his wife, Holly; her daughter, Rebekah Whitlow; and her four beloved grandchildren, who were a constant source of pride and joy.
Connie will be cremated, and a memorial service will be held at a later date due to weather. Announcements with the time and location will be shared when arrangements are finalized.
Connie will be remembered for her quiet strength, her generous heart, and the love she gave so freely to those around her.
