Crystal Jennelle Shrewsbury, 49 of Christiansburg, VA. formerly of Princeton WV was welcomed into the arms of Jesus on Sunday June 4, 2023, at Wake Forest Baptist Hospital in Winston Salem NC. after a short battle with surgery complications. Born September 20, 1973, she was the daughter of the late James “Eddie” Jennelle and Frances Whitt Jennelle. Crystal was a graduate of Oakvale High School and Little French Beauty Academy. She was a beautician for many years until she made a career change and started working for Kroger Co. She has been employed with Kroger for over 20 Years, and recently stopped work due to her health issues. She loved her job and her co-workers. Crystal was a kind-hearted, giving, happy person who loved life and embraced each day with a positive outlook. She always had a smile on her face and never met a stranger. She loved sports cars, shopping, vacationing at the beach and going on outings. More than anything she loved her family, and her 3 children, whom she adored. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother Carl Steven Jennelle and one infant niece Autumn Grace Jennelle. Maternal grandparents Carl and Edith Whitt, Paternal grandparents Murl and Lucy Jennelle. She will forever be missed by her children Dakota Shrewsbury and fiancé Briana Campbell of Roanoke, VA, Laiken Shrewsbury and partner Alex Hylton of Christiansburg VA, and Kaden Shrewsbury of the home. Their father Kenneth Shrewsbury. Brothers: Jay (Cathy) Jennelle of Christiansburg VA and Mark (Shirley) Jennelle of Princeton WV. Nephews Matt (Brittany), Derek (Amber), Brandon (Olivia), Dave (Kristen) and Briley Jennelle, Bruce David Altizer “The Love of her Life”. Services to celebrate the life of Crystal Shrewsbury will be held Saturday June 10, 2023, from the Chapel of Fredeking Funeral Service at 2 PM. with Pastor Ryan Meadows officiating. Burial will follow in Oakvale Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family from Noon until the service hour at the funeral home.
