Didymus Jared Farmer

Didymus Jared “Pete” Farmer 66 of Big Island, Virginia died suddenly October 16, 2024. Born in Princeton on October 7, 1958 to the late Claude Bernard Farmer and Gladys Marie Widner Farmer. Didymus spent the past several years as a caregiver and enjoyed working on clocks. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Jared Nathan Farmer, his lifelong companion Mary Adams, two brothers, Phillip Farmer and Benjamin Farmer and one sister, Becky Hall. Left to cherish his memory include his son, Didymus Jeremiah Farmer. Three Sisters, Sharon Cordle, Melissa Parson (David) and Emma Riggs. Three Brothers, Nathaniel Farmer (Sherri), Michael Farmer (Brandi), and Leslie Farmer, Sr. (Shana). Several nieces, nephews, and friends are also left to cherish his memory. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 23, 2024 at 1:00 PM from the Chapel of Fredeking Funeral Service with Pastor L.A. Farmer officiating. Burial will follow in Elgood Cemetery where family and friends will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 12 Noon until the service hour.
