Donald Ray Martin Jr.

Donald Ray “Ray Ray” Martin Jr. of Hinton WV went to be with the Lord on Sunday February 11,2024 at Summers County ARH Hospital. He was born on June 22, 1964, in Chicago IL and raised in McDowell County WV. He was the son of the late Donald Ray Martin Sr and Virginia Faye Rose Martin.  He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army and worked at the VA hospital in Beckley doing what he loved best working in the boiler room as an engineer. He is proceeded into death by his wife of 27 years Diana Ann Lambert Martin. Whom was the love of his life and the mother of his 2 children, a sister in law Brenda Woods and husband Tommy, brother in law Henry Lambert and James Ingram and father in law James Lambert He is survived by his daughter Dana Clemons and fiancé Keith Law of Martinsville Va, and son Donald Martin III (Donnie) of the home, one Sister Delores (Dee) Mathena and husband Joe of Princeton WV,  one brother Ricky Martin of Yanceyville N.C and one sister in law Nora Ingram of Martinsville Va.,  4 grandchildren Marissa Clemons, Josiah Law, Tammy Carty, and Bentley Burdette. Whom he loved dearly. Several nieces and nephews and a host of family and friends. Serving as pallbearers will be family and friends. Funeral services to celebrate the life of Donald Martin will be held Monday February 19, 2024, at 2 P.M. from the chapel of Fredeking Funeral Service in Oakvale with Pastor Bill Jones officiating.  Burial will follow in the New Zion Cemetery with Military Graveside Rites provided by the Mercer County Honor Guard.
