Hazel Coletta Thompson, 88, of Princeton, died peacefully, Thursday, May 5, 2022, at Heritage Hall, in Rich Creek. Born March 28, 1934, in Willowton, she was the daughter of the late Arthur E. Miller and Bessie Thornton Miller. Hazel was a loving wife, mother, daughter, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. Hazel worked for Giles Manufacturing for 17 years until her health declined. She loved playing the piano, canning and family celebrations especially Christmas which was her favorite and really enjoyed the parties at Heritage Hall with her friends. Hazel was the last surviving member of her immediate family and was of the Christian faith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie “Bob” Thompson, two children, Belinda Moore, James Thompson and two grandchildren, Jimmy Thompson and Charles Joseph. Left to cherish her memory are children, Sandy Combs and husband Jimmy, Patricia Clemons, Richard S. Thompson and companion Kathy Bowles, and Jerry Lee Thompson and wife Cindy; Eleven grandchildren; Twenty-two-great-grandchildren; Seven great-great-grandchildren; Several nieces and nephews. Funeral services to celebrate the life of Hazel Thompson will be held at 11:00 A.M., Tuesday, May 10, 2022, from the Chapel of Fredeking Funeral Service with Pastor Don Henegar officiating. Burial will follow in New Zion Cemetery. Friends and family may visit with the family Monday, May 9, 2022, from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
