Joel Lane Combs Sr.

Joel Lane Combs Sr., 65, of Lexington, NC went to be with the Lord July 17, 2021. Born September 29, 1955, in Denton, NC. He was the son of the late Amelia “Ann” Long, and Clallan “Ray” Combs (Virginia “Mama Jean” Combs).Joel was a construction worker by trade. He loved art, music, cars, and the country. Joel is survived by his children, Joel L. Combs Jr. (Renee), Lakeisha Gainey (Brian), Sabrina Long (Joey), Josh Long (Lacey), Matthew Long, Justin Combs (Annie); 19 grandchildren and a brother, Buddy Long. Joel was preceded in death by his siblings of Lexington, NC, Donald Ray Combs, Kathy Lynn Combs, and Bobby Long. Serving as pallbearers will be Buddy Long, Josh Long, Justin Combs, Wayne Sprinkles, Trent Sprinkles, Shawn Sprinkles. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests that memorial donations be made to Angela Sprinkles for the funeral expenses.  Funeral services to celebrate the life of Joel will be held Saturday July 24, 2021, at 2 P.M. from Chapel of Fredeking Funeral Service.  Burial will follow in the Brown Family Cemetery.
