John Clinton Weatherly

John Clinton Weatherly, 88 of Adairs Run Road, Princeton passed away on Friday, November 17, 2023 at Ruby Memorial Hospital with loved ones by his side. Born October 6, 1935, in Kellysville, WV, he was the Son of the late Jesse Clinton Weatherly and Lina Mae Crawford Weatherly. John was a 1955 graduate of Oakvale High School, he had been a resident of this area most of his life. After graduation he proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. After the Air Force, John worked at Rockwell International, Bendix, Asea Brown Boveri and Lowe’s. In his leisure time, John loved to hunt, fish, garden, keeping bees, and playing and singing country and bluegrass music on his guitar. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of fifty-four years Betty Lou Weatherly and one son, John-John Weatherly. Those left to cherish his memory include his children one daughter, Kimberly Robertson of Red Lion, PA; one son, Chris Weatherly and wife Sherry of Fairmont, WV; three grandchildren, Corey Robertson and wife Jennifer of Felton, PA, Jenna Weatherly, and Jessie Rose Weatherly both of Fairmont, WV; great-grandchildren, Liam, Noah, Evan, Isabella and Lillian. Also special friend Shirley Summers. Siblings Hiram Weatherly, Buster Weatherly, Carolyn Oxley, Mary Elaine Meadows, and Sharon Hill. Graveside services will be conducted at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, November 22, 2023, at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton with Rodney Oxley officiating. Military Graveside honors will be conducted by Mercer County Veterans Honor Guard. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Friends may visit the family at Fredeking Funeral Service in Oakvale, WV from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., on Tuesday November 21, 2023.
