June Davis of Magnolia, TX formally from Huddleston VA , passed away peacefully on September 5, 2025 at home with her family. June was born in Lynchburg, VA on January 13, 1947 to the late Ida June and Harold Gillaspie. She was a devoted wife and loving mother and grandmother. She loved the Lord and was a member of Magnolia’s First Baptist church. She enjoyed church, bible study classes and singing hymns. She loved camping and canoeing. She and her husband received the presidential award for canoeing.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by husband James Davis. Brothers Ronald Gillaspie and Richard Gillaspie.
She is survived by daughters Cindy Luper and husband Charlie Luper of Magnolia TX and Laurie Goad of Roanoke VA. Grandchildren: Josh Luper and wife Kristin of Mobile AL, Carrie Davis-Campbell and husband Michael of Roanoke VA, Alan Luper of Magnolia TX great grandchildren Flora Lynn Campbell and Joey Campbell. Graveside services to celebrate the life of June Davis will be held at 2 P.M. on Saturday September 13, 2025, at New Zion Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family from 1 P.M. until 1:45 P.M. at the funeral home. Online Condolences may be shared with the family via www.fredekingfs.com.
