Kayla Dawn Cook, 28, of Princeton passed away June 28, 2023, at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington, KY. Kayla was born May 25, 1995, to Jeff and Tammy Hazelwood. Kayla loved the outdoors and loved spending time with friends and family. Kayla was preceded in death by her grandparents, Lawrence and Hazel Hazelwood, brother-in-law Steven Cook, as well as her stepdaughter, Daralynn Cook. Survivors, in addition to her parents, include her husband Craig Cook, grandfather David Miller, grandmother Brenda Heldreth, stepchildren Bradley and Haley Cook, siblings Brandi Christian and husband Zack, Grace Brown and husband Austin, Brittany Hazelwood and fiancé Gary, Randal Hazelwood, aunt Donna Michaelson and husband Ken, uncle Steve Miller and wife Michelle, Mother-in-law Shirley Cook, cousins Josh Sisk and wife Tracey, Marybeth Miller, Steven Miller, sister-In -law Amy Edwards, Brother-in- law Richard Edwards. She had many other loving cousins, nieces, and nephews that are also survivors. Funeral services to celebrate the life of Kayla Dawn Cook will be held Friday, July 07, 2023, at 12 PM from the Chapel of Fredeking Funeral Service with Pastor Ginger Neely officiating. Burial will follow in the family cemetery near Elgood. Family will serve as pallbearers. Friends may visit with the family from 11 AM until the service hour at the funeral home.
