Kenneth Darrell Bowles, 70, of Karen’s Way, Princeton, died Thursday, January 19, 2023, at his home.
Born November 17, 1952, in Princeton, he was the son of the late Luther Eugene Bowles and Pearl Bowles of Oceana. Kenneth was a loving husband, father, son, grandfather, uncle and friend who loved his family very much especially his grandchildren. He was a graduate of Oceana High School and attended Marshall University. Kenneth spent 43 years in the mining industry serving as a Mining Foreman, Mining General Manager and an Electrician. He worked in McDowell, Mercer, Raleigh Summers, Wyoming counties in WV and in Grundy, VA. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Melanie Ellis and four brothers, Michael Bowles, Benny Bowles, Ricky Bowles and David Bowles. Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 29 years, Delorse Bowles; One son, Jesse Lambert; Two daughters, Lori Noland and Kasey Trent; Grandchildren, Averial Bowles and Nathaniel Bowles of the home. Kaymen Soprito, Morgan Noland, Madison Noland and Brady Noland; Siblings, Tony Bowles and wife Angie, Kathy Brunty and husband Freddie, Diana Bowles; Several nieces, nephews and friends also survive. The family has honored Kenneth’s request to be cremated with no services.
