Kenneth Charles Ford Jr., 72, of Kellys Tank WV. Passed away on January 15, 2022, at Heritage Hall in Rich Creek VA. He was born July 11, 1949, at Home in Kellys Tank. He was the son of the late Kenneth and Victoria Ford. He was known to many as KC or Smokey. KC, attended Oakvale High School. At a young age he became a member of Saunders Grove Baptist Church. Upon leaving home at a young age, KC, moved to Alexandria, VA, where he worked for JP Brents Trucking Company as a truck driver. KC always had a smile on his face, and he loved singing, dancing, fishing, and cars. KC later met and married the late Wanda LaMay Ford, and to this union was born a daughter. Later in life he was remarried to the late Cathy Panceria Ford. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his Maternal grandparents, Rev James and Myrtle Smith, Paternal grandparents Kenneth and Mary Ford. Four nephews, Steven Ford, Chris Wilson, Eddie Pearson, Ronnell Jones and a close friend DJ Phillips. Three brothers-in-law George Pearson, Billy Lutz, Albert Jones. He leaves to cherish his memories two daughters, Shuna (Leroy) Leach of Gastonia, NC., April Harris of Richmond VA; Three sisters, Yvonne Jones of Charlotte NC, Elaine Lutz of Kellys Tank WV and Evelyn Pearson of Pearisburg VA; One brother, Eric Ford of Kellys Tank WV; Four grandchildren, Ashley Washington, La’Breya Thomas, Kenneth Howze, Journey Harris; Four great-grandchildren; One aunt Pearline Smith of Radford VA; A special niece, Vicky Ford and special friends, Kathy and Clarissa Phillips; A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends also survive. Funeral services to celebrate the life of Kenneth Ford will be held Saturday, January 29, 2022 at 2 P.M. from the Chapel of Fredeking Funeral Service, with Pastor Fred Carper officiating. Following KC’s wishes, he will be cremated following the service. Inurnment will be held at a later date in the Saunders Grove Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers the family has requested donations be made to Saunders Grove Baptist Church 180 Kelly’s Tank Road Princeton WV 24739.
