Lilly Mae Eskew

Lilly Mae Goodall Eskew died peacefully April 15, at English Meadows in Christiansburg, Virginia at the age of 101. Lilly Mae was born on January 26, 1919 in Bozoo, West Virginia. She was the beloved daughter of Lena (Lilly) and Harold Hizey Goodall. She was the devoted wife of Joe Crawford Eskew of Princeton, West Virginia, and devoted mother of Joe Crawford Jr. and Peggy Eskew of Pilot, VA, Rebecca Dinsmore of Quincy, MA, and Mary Rudiger of Goldsboro, NC. She was sister to the late Harold, Thelma, Ruth, Margaret, and John. Her brother Samuel and wife, Wilda, are of Bozoo. She was a graduate of Peterstown High School. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Princeton where she participated in the Sunday School and  the women’s mission circle. She was a devoted homemaker, a Bud and Blossom Garden Club member, and a hospital volunteer. Lilly Mae was grandmother to Jennifer and Don Overton, Jill and Gerald Wingfield , Julie and PC Wells, Joseph and Mandy Eskew, Sasha and Craig Simpkin, Brad Rudiger, Elizabeth and Charles Stout, and Sarah and Winston Bellott. She was great grandmother to Autumn, Triston, Brady, Jacklyn, Graylyn, Charles, Lettie, Everett, Harper, Margaret, Owen, Martin, Robin, and Linus. Lilly Mae was loved by many cousins, nieces, nephews, and sisters-in-law. Funeral arrangements were made by Fredeking Funeral Service, Princeton, WV.  In light of current events, services will be private.  There will be a memorial service at a later date.
