Mary Rachel Pitzer, 81, of Princeton died suddenly February 23, 2025 at Roanoke Memorial Hospital. Born October 20, 1943, she was the daughter of the late James Thornhill and Gladys Thornhill. Mary loved to Read her bible, crafts and Spring and Fall seasons. She was a dedicated member of Rogers Street Community Church serving the lord and taking in the messages of Pastors Gene Pennington and Steve Pendleton. In addition to her Parents, she is preceded in death by her husband’s Bobby Smith and James Pitzer. Son Teddy Smith, Siblings Buck Thornhill, Mamie Rice, Barbara Thomas and Betty Poole. She is survived by her children Regina Weeks (Bo Allen) of Oakvale, Karen Smith of Tennessee, Melissa Riddle of North Carolina, Freddy Smith of Virginia, Crystal Toombes (Doug) of Tennessee and Debbie Barlow (Aaron) of Lshmeet. Special Grandchildren Loveitta, Shane, and Levi as well as numerous other grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Siblings Mike Thornhill (Karen) of Princeton and Vickie Young (Melvin) of Princeton.
