Morris Jackson Blankenship, 71, of Willowton Road, Princeton, died Thursday, February 23, 2023 at WVU-PCH in Princeton. Born, February 11, 1952, in Welch, he was the son of the late Richard and Edna Blankenship. Morris graduated from Pineville High School. He worked for US Steel as a Chief Electrician. He was an avid sports fan of all types of sports but especially he loved watching the Pittsburgh and WVU teams. Morris was a long time Little League Baseball coach and coached Biddy Buddy Basketball. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings Carl and Beverly. He is survived by his wife, Claudette Blankenship; Children, Jacob Blankenship and wife Jamie, Richard Blankenship and Joshua Blankenship; Grandchildren, Jackson and Josiah Blankenship; One brother, James Blankenship; Special friends that were like brothers, Larry Hopson and Jim Surratt; His four-legged companion, Chloe Mae.
