Nathan Toler

Nathan Toler, 97 of Oakvale went to his Heavenly home on May 20, 2025. Born February 25, 1928, he was the son of the late Bruce Toler and Gracie Burgess Toler. Nathan was a timber cutter, worked in the coal mines, built coal company houses, and was a cattle farmer for many years. Nathan is survived by many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews far and near. Many friends that have passed and a surviving friend Allen who he thought the world of. Nephew Richard Toler and wife Ingrid who were his caregivers for 25 years, and who loved him dearly.  Also great nieces and great great nieces and nephews who visited often, Jaden Grace, Kayli and fiancé Michael, Brittany, Norah and Riley, Ashley, Aubree and Bentley. Sisters, Sue Perkins, Betty Lucas and Steve, and Brenda Bailey. In addition to his parents, Nathan is preceded in death by sisters, Inez Toler, Maxine Chambers and Helen Roberts. Brothers, Danny Toler, Jesse Toler, Earl Toler, Lonnie Toler and Hubert Toler. It was Nathan’s wish to be cremated and returned to the farm where he lived most of his life to rest beside his mother in the Toler Family Cemetery. A celebration of life will be held for Nathan during his favorite time of the year when the hay is cut and bailed in late July.
