Phyllis Inez (Reed) Skeens

Phyllis Inez Reed Skeens 83 of Elgood, died Saturday, April 29, 2023 at her home. Born in Elgood on August 5, 1939 she was the daughter of the late Delmer Reed and Virgie Virginia White Reed. She loved her flowers, gardening, cooking, crafts and reading her Bible. But most of all she loved her family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Jasper “Jess” Skeens. Left to cherish her memories are one son, Billy Skeens and wife Becky and one daughter, Cathy Weiss. Four Grandchildren, Erica Skeens, Ariel Paschall and husband Eddie, Candace Perdue and husband John and Amanda Reed. Six Great Grandchildren, Brayden Baker, J.J. Perdue, Trenten Braun, Jase Perdue, Jayden Thomas and Parker Reed. Two Brothers, Rufus Reed and Carl Reed. Graveside Services to celebrate the life of Phyllis Skeens will be held Tuesday May 2, 2023 at 1:00 PM at the Elgood Cemetery with Pastor Gerald Terry officiating. Friends of the family will serve as pallbearers. Friends may visit Monday evening from 6-8 PM at Fredeking Funeral Service in Oakvale.  Those attending the graveside on Tuesday, are asked to meet at the Cemetery by 12:45 PM.
