Robert Lee Comer

Robert Lee Comer, 89 years old, of Goodwyns Chapel Rd. Princeton, WV passed away at Princeton Community Hospital on Tuesday, October 6, 2020 with his family by his side.  He was the son of the late Jesse and Cora Comer.  He served in the United States Army and was a member of New Zion Regular Baptist Church in Elgood.  He attended faithfully while his health permitted.  He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Alma Comer.  Also surviving are his 3 sons Steve and wife Lori, Scott, and Timmy. Eight grandchildren:  Tyler Comer, Laurel and husband Kory Saddler, Katelyn Comer, Lindsay Comer, Jacob Comer, LydiaBeth Comer, Leah Comer, and Sean Comer. Brother: Roger and wife Pauline Comer, sister: Betty Richards, Sister and brother in-law Dorothy and Sonny Williams, sister in law Janice Hill.  He was preceded in death by brothers and sisters: Polly Dent, Mary Ratcliffe, Henry Comer, John Comer, Jesse Comer, Jr., Virginia Hellmandollar, and David Comer, brother-in-law Jerry Hill and mother and father-in-law Teula and Henry Hill.  State guidelines mandate the wearing of a mask due to COVID-19 and the family respectfully requests everyone attending to adhere to the mandate. Funeral services to celebrate the life of Robert Lee Comer will be conducted at 1:00 P.M., Friday, October 9, 2020, from the Chapel of Fredeking Funeral Service with Pastor Chris Roberts officiating. Burial will follow in New Zion Cemetery with Military Graveside Rites. Grandsons and nephews will serve as pall bearers. Friends may visit with the family from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M.
