Rodney Lee Oxley, 61, of Beckley WV, was ushered to his heavenly home on December 18, 2024 after a heroic battle with cancer. He was born in Pearisburg VA to Carolyn Weatherly Oxley and the late James “Jimmy” H. Oxley, Jr.
Rodney was passionate about his love for God, his family and helping others. An Associate Pastor at Lifeline Church, Rodney led praise and worship services and was the maintenance director. He was known for his sense of humor, bright smile, love for farming and ice cream. He leaves behind a legacy of strength, faith, humility and perseverance.
Rodney was welcomed in to heaven by his father and his grandparents: James and Mona Oxley Sr, and Clint and Mae Weatherly.
His memory will be cherished by his wife Michelle Oxley; his children: Aaron and Amy Oxley, Ashleigh Oxley, Kelsey Masters, Lindsey Masters, Tyler Masters; Grandchildren: Gavin, Logan, Canaan, Asher and Journee; his siblings: Randy Oxley and Sheraine and Keith Gunnoe; Nieces and Nephews: Casey and Sean Severt, Alec and Kelsey Gunnoe, and Madison Gunnoe. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Lifeline Princeton Church of God on Saturday, December 21, 2024 at 5:00 P.M. with Pastor Ryan Parks and Reverend Fred Farley officiating. Friends may visit with the family from 3 P.M. until the service hour at the church. Private Burial will follow in the Neely Family Cemetery on Adairs Run Road.
