Wallace Heath Obituary

Wallace Edward Heath, 85, of N. State Street Athens, died Thursday, July 7, 2022, at the Villages at Greystone, in Beaver. Born June 6, 1937, in Salisburg, MD, he was the son of the late Harry Upton Heath and Marie Morris Heath. Wallace served his country honorably in the U.S. Marine Corp. Wallace loved the Lord and was a servant of God having served as the minister at Ada Church of Christ. He was not only a member of but had served as Chaplain for the local chapter of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Marine Corps League. Wallace was also active in many other Veterans organizations, as well as being an instructor for the AARP Driver Safety Program. He retired as an independent insurance agent having represented many insurance companies since 1960. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Maria Pockaj Heath. He is survived by his special friends Samuel and Teressa Pettry. Funeral services to celebrate the life of Wallace Heath will be held on Wednesday, July 13, 2022, at 12 Noon from the Chapel of Fredeking Funeral Service with Bruce Barilla officiating.  Burial will follow in the Athens Cemetery, with military graveside rites. Friends and family may visit with the family from 11 A.M, until the service hour at the funeral home. Online condolences may be shared with the family via www.fredekingfs.com.
