Wallace Jackson “Jack” Thomas, 90 walked through the gates of his forever home to be with Jesus on Friday August 16, 2024. Born March 15, 1934, on East River Mountain to the late Irma Paulene Thomas Bailey. Wallace was preceded in death by his loving wife of 60 years Mary Kathleen Thomas, Son Wallace Bryan Thomas, Stepdaughter Carolyn Jones, Grandson Nicky Rachel, Granddaughter Vicky “Barie” Knight, Great Grandson Charles “Chucky” Barie, Sister Lois Thomas and Niece Ashley Hammonds. He was a devoted husband, grandfather, great-grandfather and great-great-grandfather. He was a member of Kellysville Church of God where he was a faithful member and loved to attend. He was well known for being an auto mechanic along with 20 plus years as a Mercer County Schools bus driver. He was a Volunteer Fireman for Oakvale Volunteer Fire Department. He enjoyed fishing, camping with family, hunting and pitching horseshoe. He was a 46-year Town Council Member for the Town of Oakvale. Those left to cherish his memory include his children Debbie Rachel, Kathy Spriggs, Jeannie O’Donnell and husband Kevin all of Oakvale and Vickie Lusk and husband Larry of Herndon. Sister Marlene Pendleton of Princeton. Grandchildren Roger Barie, Andrea Coalson, Michelle Pettrey, Steven Rachel, Shenae Bailey and husband Jamie, Kristen Naylor, David Rose, Heather Rose Bryan “BJ” Thomas, Alyssa Lewis and husband Matthew. 18 Great Grandchildren 5 Great Great Grandchildren. The 5th generation and his little buddy Easton Holdren. Many nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services to celebrate the life of Jack Thomas will be held Tuesday August 20, 2024, at 12:00 Noon at Kellysville Church of God with Pastors Franklin Adkins and Ricky Shrewsbury officiating. Burial will follow in Oakvale Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family on Monday August 19, 2024, at Kellysville Church of God from 6 PM- 8 PM. Serving as Pallbearers will be B.J. Thomas, Steven Rachel, Hunter Hill, Eli Naylor, Bryson Bailey, Jason Holdren, Matthew Lewis. Honorary Pallbearer is David Rose.
